Benson is located in the scenic San Pedro River Valley, located in SE Arizona. The San Pedro River is one largest bird migration fly-ways in the world. Benson originated as a rail road town in the late 1800's. The Visitor Center is a replica of the original Train Depot in the center of town. Population is just under 5000. Benson is a convenient 30 minutes from Tucson and Sierra Vista. Benson now has a Super Wal Mart, and several new businesses. Fourth of July can be a fun time to remember in Benson. Activities include a fun country style parade, a festival at the Park and spectacular fire works in the evening.
Benson's wonderful weather with it's moderate temperatures allows for golf year round. There are two Golf Courses in Benson, and another at Sunsites Country Club. Benson & St.David has become a destination for Winter Visitors, other wise known as "Snow Birds". The San Pedro Valley offers Several Beautiful RV Parks with all the ammenities!

Hike the near by mountain trails, visit Cochise Stronghold, and the many other beautiul places to "get away from it all" such as The Chiricahua National Monument, Parker Lake,Graham Mountains, Historical Ft. Huachuca is the place to visit wonderful museums & learn about the Buffalo Soldiers. The Amerind foundation in the spectacular Texas Canyon is a wonderful American Indian museum and art galery with many activities through out the month.
